Governance Workshops

ISACS standards for membership outline several expectations for member schools, based on commonly held understandings of appropriate, effective governance of non-profit organizations, including an expectation for ongoing education for trustees. To support member schools in this area, ISACS offers an annual Trustee Day, periodic webinars on governance topics, and school-workshops for the individual board delivered at school.

ISACS school-based governance workshops, led by the ISACS Executive Director, draw from the National Association of Independent Schools Principles of Good Practice for Trustees and relevant data. The focus is on facilitated discussion aimed at heightening self-awareness and readiness for continued dialogue about the board’s work. Cost to the school is expenses only. For more information or to arrange a workshop, contact Mary Menacho, ISACS Executive Director, at mary@isacs.org.
