ISACS Webinar Material Play: Clay & Dough with Louisa Penfold, Harvard University Wednesday, January 14, 2026

Material Play: Clay & Dough

Explore how clay and dough can be used as creative material in contemporary art and children’s play.

We will look at how artists such as William Cobbing, Betty Wood, and Takuro Kuwata experimented with clay in their art, and consider how we can draw on this to design children's play spaces in the classroom. Participants will be offered activity prompts, teaching strategies, and resources to allow for easy integration.

Audience

This webinar is for early childhood & lower school faculty & administrators.
