Tips for a Strong Proposal
We welcome proposals that represent all aspects of school life (administrators, faculty, staff, etc.)
The best sessions are practical & interactive. Ask yourself:
How are meaningful learning experiences created for students and other members of the school community?
Focus on school practice. The more you can show how to support excellent practices throughout your school, the more you get to the heart of what your session is about.
What do you want people to remember & take back to school?
Consider what the learner will leave with—that is the core of your presentation. The best sessions offer tangible takeaways and specific applications to practice.
What is the best way for your audience to interact with the material you are presenting?
Learners want to engage and participate. Include audience participation as an integral part of your session.
What to Include
- Title of the presentation
Limit: 7 words
- 3-4 sentence session description, including target audience

Please note: Our system refers to a "co-presenter" as a “co-author”

- Presentations must be original content or sources cited by name
Please note: Space is provided for this in the form
- Provide content for 75-minute presentation including some time for Q&A

Content Standards
Material must be appropriate for the audience and should not include profanity, vulgarities, or mature content. The presentation must not denigrate nor insult any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or political ideology. Incitement of hatred and provocation of violence are expressly prohibited. Fundraising or sales pitches of any type are not permitted. ISACS reserves the right to interrupt or halt any presentation that is not in keeping with these expectations.
Before You Submit
- Confirm your school's support for your proposal as well as the commitment to present in-person at the November 5–6, 2026 conference in Detroit, Michigan
- Each presenter must have a contact record in our system
- View the 2025 Annual Conference brochure for examples of accepted proposals
Notification
While we would love to accept all proposals, there are more submissions than there is space. Not being selected is not a reflection of your proposal's quality—we balance content areas, grade levels, and member school representation. Not all proposals from a school are guaranteed placement. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis — earlier submissions have a better chance of being included.
You will be emailed regarding the status of your proposal no later than Friday, June 26, 2026. Accepted proposals will be provided with next steps at that time.
If Accepted
- ISACS will provide complimentary registration for presenters* on the day of their session
- Presenter's conference registration must be completed by September 25, 2026
- Presenters* whose names are included in their submission form will be listed in conference materials
*Limited to 2 presenters per session
