As a courtesy to ISACS members and to encourage sharing among members, we have compiled the following list of Indianapolis area schools interested in hosting schools traveling to the area for the ISACS Annual Conference.

Fortune Academy

Fortune Academy

Fortune Academy empowers and nurtures students with language-based learning differences, including dyslexia and ADHD, to thrive as confident, lifelong learners. As Indiana’s only immersive Orton-Gillingham Approach (OGA)-accredited school, we combine diagnostic precision with multisensory teaching to build on strengths and address individual challenges. Fortune Academy is located 20 minutes northeast of downtown Indianapolis by way of Fall Creek Parkway and 56th Street. 

Independence Academy

The Independence Academy

The Independence Academy was founded by two Indianapolis families who recognized a need for a school that would serve their sons and other children on the autism spectrum. Cofounders Susan Le Vay and Ruth Padgett met in 2005 and soon began sharing their vision for an innovative school where autistic students could thrive while earning an accredited high school diploma. The Independence Academy is located 28 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.

The Orchard School

The Orchard School

The Orchard School’s mission is to develop and educate the whole child. As a progressive, non-sectarian, independent school, Orchard commits to advancing each student’s academic success, self-confidence, open-mindedness, ethical character, leadership, and love of learning. This will be the 103rd year of successful outcomes at The Orchard School. Orchard provides a progressive education with a focus on experiential hands-on learning. Our 43-acre wooded campus provides many outdoor learning spaces, letting us stay true to our commitment that nature is the best teacher. Orchard is 20-25 minutes from Crowne Plaza depending on traffic.

Park Tudor

Park Tudor is an independent school for children age 3–grade 12 located on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the north side of Indianapolis. Park Tudor is located approximately 30 minutes north of downtown.

St Richard's Episcopal School

St. Richard's Episcopal School

Sycamore School

At Sycamore School, we understand that gifted children need a special education, and our mission reflects our focus and drive: “Sycamore School exists so that academically gifted students can experience the enriched, accelerated education they need to reach their potential and to lead responsible, constructive, fulfilling lives.” There are few schools in the country with such a clear focus and unique commitment to providing an appropriate education for gifted learners. Sycamore School is located 20 minutes from downtown.  

University High School of Indiana

University High School of Indiana

University High School of Indiana is an independent college preparatory school where each person is accepted and respected for who they are. Founded in 2000, the school provides an educational and empowering environment for its more than 350 students that promotes faculty/student mentoring; a small, core-values-driven community; four-year, student-focused college counseling; and personalized education. We meet as an entire school community every day for student-led announcements and communal learning. The outdoor spaces of campus serve as powerful interdisciplinary educational experiences that build community and critical/creative thinking, while fostering physical, social, and emotional wellness. University High School is located 30 minutes from downtown Indianapolis by way of 465 to Michigan Road to W 116th Street.

Note: While you are welcome to provide your own transportation, we also will run a van to and from downtown to the University High School for those interested in spending some time on our campus.
