Proposal Submission Due Date: 5:00 pm Central on Friday, April 10, 2026

Proposal Tips:

  • We welcome proposals that represent all aspects of school life (administrators, faculty, staff, etc.).
  • Focus on school practice. How are meaningful learning experiences created for students and other members of the school community? The more you can show how to support excellent practices throughout your school, the more you get to the heart of what your session is about.
  • Consider what the learner will take away. The best sessions offer tangible takeaways and specific applications to practice. What do you want people to remember and take back to school? That is the core of your presentation.
  • Be interactive. Learners want to engage and participate. What is the best way for your audience to interact with the material you are presenting? Include audience participation as an integral part of your session.

Proposal Requirements:

  • Submission of this proposal confirms the presenter’s commitment—and the school’s support—to be fully prepared to present in-person at the November 5–6, 2026 conference in Detroit, Michigan.
  • Conference Registration for Member Presenters must be completed early and by September 25, 2026.
  • Original content or sources cited by name (space provided in the form).
  • Provide content for 75-minute presentation including some time for Q&A.
  • Respond promptly to requests for information from ISACS staff.
  • The material presented should be appropriate for the audience and should not include profanity, vulgarities, or mature content.
  • The presentation must not denigrate nor insult any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or political ideology.
  • Incitement of hatred and provocation of violence are expressly prohibited.
  • Fundraising or sales pitches of any type are not permitted.
  • ISACS reserves the right to interrupt or halt any presentation that is not in keeping with these expectations.
  • Each presenter/attendee must abide by the ISACS Policies & Disclaimers for Professional Learning Events.

What Needs to be Included in Proposal Form:

  • Title of the presentation (Limit: 5-7 words)
  • 3-4 sentence (specific) description of the session content (including the target audience) (Limit: 75 words)
  • Contact information for up to 2 presenters per session
  • Where this session has been previously presented
  • Audio-visual and internet needs

System Requirements/Tips:

  • Our system refers to a "co-presenter" as a “co-author.”
  • If you are submitting a proposal and have a co-presenter, the system will allow you to add 1 co-presenter.
  • You can submit a proposal yourself or on behalf of someone else from your school.
  • Each presenter and co-presenter (if applicable) must have existing Contact Records in the system. This will ensure we have up-to-date contact information.
  • View examples of accepted proposals (titles, descriptions, structure, and length) from the 2025 Annual Conference brochure.

Number of Proposals Your School Can Submit:
We invite ISACS member schools to consider submitting up to 3 presentations per school.

Complimentary Registration/Presenters Listed in Conference Materials:

  • ISACS provides complimentary registration for up to 2 presenters per session on the day of the presentation.
  • ISACS will acknowledge no more than 2 presenters per session in conference materials.
  • Names of presenters must be included in this proposal form.

Internet Needs:
ISACS is unable to provide Wi-Fi to attendees in individual sessions. Complimentary light usage connection for checking emails and minimal web browsing will be available while in common spaces. Please note that the ability to download is disabled while connected to the complimentary Wi-Fi. The proposal form includes questions at the end regarding presenter Wi-Fi needs.

Videos and Google Docs:
**IMPORTANT** Videos must be downloaded or embedded in your presentation. Google docs must be downloaded to your laptop prior to arriving at the conference. This will ensure a smooth presentation. ISACS cannot ensure that you will be able to stream videos or access Google drive on site. If you have any questions, please contact your school's I.T. Department, or contact Jacob Isaac, ISACS Director of Technology.

Room Set-up:
Meeting rooms are set up in theater style (rows of seating) to accommodate the maximum number of attendees. Due to the scope of the Annual Conference, we are unable to have alternative meeting room set-ups. The meeting room also includes a head table and two chairs. There will be no podiums. If you have any questions regarding room set-ups, please contact Karen Zeitlin, ISACS Director of Programs.

Proposal Notification:
Due to the substantial number of proposals submitted, we anticipate that we will be unable to accept all that are submitted. Our inability to accept a proposal does not in any way reflect the quality of the proposal. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis; earlier proposals have an increased likelihood of being added to the program. Please follow the submission instructions and contact Karen Zeitlin or Jacob Isaac with any questions. While we hope to place as many member presenters as possible in the program, we balance content areas, grade levels, and representation from all our member schools. As we work to maintain balance, it is possible we will be unable to place all the proposals submitted by your school. ISACS will notify the member presenters directly via email and no later than Friday, June 26, 2026, regarding the status of their proposal. For accepted proposals, additional conference details will also be provided at that time.

Withdrawal or Changes to Presenter:
If you need to withdraw your proposal or change a presenter's name, please contact programinfo@isacs.org as soon as possible.
