Appendix R. Applying Standards to a Diverse Membership: Equitable, Affirming, Safe, and Just Environments. Following the 2015 adoption of the ISACS equity resolution, standards for membership and the Equity and Justice section of the Membership and Accreditation Guide were updated. Because this work can be sensitive in nature, requiring open minds, careful listening, and the exercise of sound judgment during the reflection of the self-study process and the accreditation visit, this appendix has been added to provide additional context for schools undergoing self-study and for visiting teams.
This ISACS Membership and Accreditation Guide has been developed to:
- Offer direction to schools throughout the self-study process. The manual provides clear instructions to conduct a meaningful and accurate self-study.
- Provide comprehensive support for visiting team leaders as they guide the team of volunteers through the on-site accreditation visit.
