Teachers at ISACS schools are active participants in designing and delivering professional development that is tied closely to their strengths and needs. The Director of Professional Development for ISACS works directly with committees in each state and region. Committee members are ISACS Teacher Representatives who are also highly involved with professional development at their own schools. Teacher Services Committees identify their own focus for professional development based upon suggestions from teacher members. They determine leadership within their committees as well as an arrangement of meetings times (typically bi-monthly or monthly, at various times of the day) that fit their schedules.

Teacher Services Committee Members receive formal leadership training at the ISACS Leadership Forum (Annual Conference). They often take advantage of additional professional development opportunities at the Veterans in the Vanguard Institute, the Leaders and Learners Institute, and through diversity workshops.
